COFFEE STORY

The Aricha Washing Station near Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, was neglected until 2018, when Faysel Abdosh and Testi Coffee took over, determined to restore it. With Faysel’s coffee-growing heritage in Harar, they transformed Aricha into one of Testi’s most efficient stations, processing coffee from nearby communities with enhanced traceability.

The farmers, mainly from the Gedeo ethnic group, have cultivated coffee on small family-owned plots since the 1920s. Faysel works closely with them, promoting sustainable practices that preserve the region's biodiversity. Testi Coffee has also partnered with the local government to bring electricity to farmers’ homes and build a school for their children.
