Introducing a standout addition to our natural coffee rotation: the Zambia Kateshi Estate. This award-winning anaerobic natural is as bold as it is complex.

The Profile Upon the first sip, you’re greeted with a rich, smoky depth that mimics the profile of a darker roast—a hallmark of this sophisticated processing style. However, despite that initial intensity, this is a true light-to-medium roast. As the cup cools, the complexity unfolds into a lush, wine-like sweetness that preserves the bean's vibrant, natural character. Expect a symphony of concord grape, canned pineapple, blueberry, and lychee.

The Legacy Beyond the cup, the Kateshi Estate is a pioneer. Established in 1972, it was the first of its kind in Zambia and remains a leader in quality, recently sweeping 1st and 2nd place in the national Taste of Harvest competition.

The Impact Kateshi is also making history by breaking gender barriers. It is the first and only estate in Zambia to train and employ women for traditionally male-dominated roles, from driving tractors and bulldozers to operating heavy road graders.
